    Bowlers Roger Hyde and Dave Simpson were both "Break the Bank" winners recently at Holiday Lanes in Warsaw. Hyde won $1,927 and Simpson took home $692 in the promotion for league bowlers at Holiday.

    Mrs. Neal Carlson, of 1 Miner Addition, and Helen Wallace, of 1700 Ranch Road, Warsaw, were honored this month by Youth for Understanding, a nonprofit international student exchange program.

As volunteer area representatives for this locality, they actively promote world peace through placing exchange students from around the world in select families within this community. They interview American high school student interested in going abroad through the program for a summer or a year as well.

    Bobby McCrory, Jerry Laurien, Patricia Shoemaker and Mrs. LaMoyne Fawley were awarded prizes for the best costumes at a Halloween party sponsored at the Winona Lake Presbyterian Church social rooms by the members of the Alligo class.

    Irene Cassel, a student at Muncie Normal, has been pledged to Epsilon Delta Sorority. Cassel is the daughter of Alonzo Cassel of North Union Street and a graduate of the Warsaw High School with the class of 1928.
