    Times-Union editorial cartoonist Edson Moyer has been chosen as one of six finalists in the 1990 Indiana license place design competition.

Moyer, who has been an artist/cartoonist for about 35 years, was notified of his standings last week by a letter from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Charles E. Layton.

    Mrs. Howard Sommer, Silver Lake, and Mrs. Hugh Alger, North Manchester, are among several area artists exhibiting their paintings in the Wabash Art Guild exhibit at the Honeywell Center, Wabash.

    A 5-3/4 pound radish was brought into The Times and Union office by Jessie Nighswander, of 1401 E. Clark St., OUR TOWN. Jessie said it was a good one, too. We tried some of the radish, sprinkled with a dash of salt - and it was tasty, but too much of it.

November 6 1923

    The Warsaw River Rats on Sunday defeated the Warsaw Rinkey Dinks football eleven here at the Shull stadium, a spacious corn field west of Warsaw, by a score of 18 to 0. The game was played in mud amid the Sunday afternoon downpour.
