Sharon L. Sommers, Silver Lake, has been elected as an alternate delegate to the 105th annual meeting of the American Angus Association, Nov. 13-15 in Louisville, Ky., reports Richard Spader, executive vice president of the American Angus Association.
Marine Pfc. Alan G. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Johnson, 1401 Greenhill Dr., Warsaw, is a teletype repair student at the U.S. Marine Corps base in Twenty-nine Palms, Calif. Johnson is a 1973 graduate of Warsaw Community High School.
Charles R. Butler, Warsaw, a junior at Manchester College, is composer of a march played for the first time at the evening concert, presented Saturday by the college band, consummating the day's homecoming activities. The march, designed for a victory song, is "Hail to the Mighty Spartans," with words and music both written by Butler. It might be added that the words to "Warsaw High" were written by him when he attended school here.
Andrew J. Smith, aged 73, and Mrs. Ellen Webster, 86, both of Mentone vicinity, were married here this afternoon by Rev. J.S. Cain. They will reside near Mentone on the wife's farm. It was the fourth marriage for the wife and the second for the husband.
