    Indiana Area Council presented Cindi Knepper, executive director of Boys & Girls Club of Kosciusko County, with the Professional of the Year Award.

Knepper has been active in the OKI Professional Association, has served on the nominating committee and is program chairwoman for 1994.

    Among the Rozella Ford golfers honored at the recent awards night were the Tony Lema Tourney champions, Don Holterman and Gary Landis, and the club senior champions, Francis Mitterling and Sam Mautner.

    The high school basketball season opens tonight in Kosciusko County. Leading the Beaver Dam cheers, as the Beavers play at Silver Lake, will be Jo Tucker, Sandy Ballenger and Diane Sittler. Jo, 14, is a freshman and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edison Tucker. Sandy, 16, a junior, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Ballenger. The parents of Diane, 15-year-old sophomore, are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sittler.

    Carl Hathaway, native Warsawan, business manager of the Ringling shows, arrived here this morning from the winter quarters of the show at Sarasota, Fla., and took breakfast with his mother, Mrs. S.D. Hathaway, and sister, Venus Hathaway, of West Center Street. He was en route to Peru for a conference with John Ringling, circus magnate.
