Winners of fall Most Valuable Player awards at WCHS this year were: Sherry Haines, volleyball; Kris Kail, boys soccer; Ben Long, football; Brian Grossnickle and Jim Morly, co-boys tennis; Will Woodward, boys cross country; Maria Kittrell, girls golf; Stephanie Ellis, girls swimming; Michelle Kammerer, girls cross country; and Bobbi Wildman, girls soccer.
Remember - When you were a kid, and you'd spend several hours scrounging around the neighborhood for some old scrap metal, you pulled your little red wagon and the contents to Center Lake, eventually talking to a kindly man (who always had a delightful twinkle in his eye). You told him you had some "stuff" to sell ... and he gave you more than it was worth so's you could buy a bigger candy bar. He was Howard Levin's father, Myer, deceased, but certainly not forgotten by a lot of us.
Sue Henderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Henderson, and a senior at Pierceton High School, has been selected as the "Good Citizenship girl" of Pierceton School. The contest is sponsored annually by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
