Two games into his 17th season at Warsaw, Al Rhodes upped his coaching record to 300-100 with a thrilling 63-62 win over Kosciusko County rival Tippecanoe Valley at the Tiger Den.
Lisa Bowers was crowned Junior Miss of Whitko High School for 1981 on Nov. 6. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Bowers. She also was named winner of the poise and appearance category of the contest.
Jane Bachman recently was honored when she was chosen to pose for the cover of the October issue of "Butler Reports" at Butler University, Indianapolis. She is pictured in front of the new Women's residence hall, the first such building in the 101 years of the college's history. Jane, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hilary Bachman, of Syracuse Lake, is a senior this year, majoring in journalism.
Herbert Lautz, Warsaw, has been elected to Utes, sophomore men's honorary organization at Butler University. The organization is composed of 14 men who are chosen each year on the basis of their scholarship and participation in school activities during their freshman year.
