    The International Order of the Golden Rule recently announced that Titus Funeral Home, Inc., Warsaw, is beginning its 35th year as an IOGR member.

IOGR is a not-for-profit funeral association formed in 1928 to help the general public by identifying and honoring outstanding funeral firms. The association comprises more than 1,500 respected funeral homes in the U.S., Canada and abroad.

    GREENCASTLE - Stephen Harris, 1524 E. Springhill, Warsaw, was among several members of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority who participated in an extensive goodwill work project sponsored by the Chaplain's Living Unit Council at DePauw University.

Harris is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip J. Harris and is a 1976 graduate of Warsaw Community High School.

    Mrs. V.E. De Fabritis, Warsaw, won the door prize at John Snell Apparel and Gifts during their anniversary sale. Those awarded consolation prizes were Mrs. Eugene Groninger, Warsaw; Mrs. Roland Christner, North Webster; Mrs. Vivian Snyder, Bourbon; and Mrs. Russel Creighton, Warsaw.

    A debate, the subject of which was "Resolved: That the United States Should Have a Tariff for Revenue Only," was held at the high school, with the public speaking class supporting the affirmative, and the science club the negative. The affirmative speakers were Charles Thayer, Carolyn Wones, Robert Wilt and Dick Wymond, and the negative John Whitehead, Loretta Sellers, Drusilla Watson and Rosalyn Wones. The arguments of all the debates were excellently presented. The negative team won.
