The Kilkare Klub met Nov. 12 in the home of Shirley Kreger, with nine members present.
After a short business meeting, canasta was played, with high won by Ruth Menzie and low by Jean Sleighter. Donna Werstler won the door prize.

Richard R. (Ray) Hughes, Warsaw, has been promoted to Franklin district outside plant engineer by United Telephone Co. of Indiana Inc.
Hughes joined United in 1973 as an engineering aide at the firm's general offices in Warsaw. He was promoted to junior engineer in August 1975. His latest promotion is effective Nov. 16.

Earl Yeiter, Route 4, Warsaw, received the "American spirit" honor medal in ceremonies at Sampson Air Force Base, Geneva, N.Y., today. A parade was also held in his honor. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Yeiter.
The award was based on character, achievement, attitude, personal appearance, performance, leadership and initiative. Yeiter is a graduate of Leesburg High School and of Indiana University.

NORTH MANCHESTER - Fred Reiff took an unfair advantage of two rabbits the other day, killing both at one shot.
They ran out of a thicket a short distance apart and both were killed at once.
