The town of Larwill, formerly known as Huntsville, informally observed its 100th birthday.

The town of Huntsville was laid out Nov. 13, 1854, at the corner of four farms. It was first named for one of its founders, Truman Hunt. The name was officially changed to Larwill on March 6, 1866.
