    Six members of Senior Girl Scout Troop 6 recently earned their Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting.

Those honored were Carmen Mock, Kim Andrews, Terrie Reuter, Jamie Raymer, Trisha Hanes and Beth Wallace.

November 25 1981

    Navy Data System Technician 2nd Class Matthew M. Wagner, son of Dorlan and Ethel Wagner, North Manchester, has departed for a six-month deployment to the Western Pacific.

He is a crew member aboard the guided missile cruiser USS Gridley, 565 feet long and carries a crew of 500. It is outfitted with "Harpoon" missiles and anti-submarine rockets.

November 25 1956

    Mrs. D.W. Henderson, of Atwood, writes of hearing on the radio about the little girl who celebrated her birthday at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11. "I think we can give you one better," she says. "Our oldest daughter, Vada, was born at 11 on the 11th day of the 11th month of the year 1911. She was 7 years old when the armistice was signed."

    The Most Excellent Master's degree was conferred on Condict Smith and Ben Braves at the special session of Warsaw Chapter 48, Royal Arch Masons.
