Randy Polston, Claypool principal, was recently initiated as a member of the Society in RHO Chapter of Kappa-Delta-Pi, an international honor society in education. The ceremonies took place Monday evening, at the Indiana/Purdue campus in Fort Wayne. The sorority encourages high professional, intellectual and personal standards, recognizing outstanding contributions to education.
John H. Sweet, president of U.S. News And World Report Inc., Washington, D.C., and Charles W. Lake Jr., president of R.R. Donnelley And Sons Co. of Chicago, announced that the Donnelley firm has been awarded a five-year contract to print U.S. News And World Report magazine, beginning with the issue of July 15, 1974. The circulation of U.S. News And World Report is 2 million copies per week. With the exception of portions of the western editions, Donnelley will produce the entire magazine.
In observance of 50 years of telephone service at Nappanee, 200 employees from 20 telephone exchanges in this vicinity were entertained at Nappanee Wednesday evening. Those from this city who attended were: Mrs. Lloyd Roose, Miss Lydia Hoffman, Mrs. Nick Schmidt and Mrs. Arthur Scholl. Mr. Schmidt accompanied the group.
