    Winners of Wawasee High School MVP trophies are Cathy Lundin (girls' swimming), Chandra Mathew (volleyball), Aubrey Coy (girls' cross country), Amy Ray (girls' golf), Pat Tracey (soccer), Brad Stidams (boys' cross country) and John Turco (football).

November 23 1979

    Dawn Maze, a sophomore at Wawasee High School, swapped jobs Thursday with her father, Tom Maze, co-manager of Warsaw's Ace Hardware store. Maze attended school for her, as a part of the annual "Swap Day" observed at the school. She was busy answering the phone, waiting on customers and drawing an ad for next week's Times-Union.


50 Years Ago

November 23 1954

    C.O. Wainwright and W.C. Cochran, of Burket, and Harold Beyer, Warsaw, are attending the national convention of Veterans of World War I in Buffalo, N.Y. The three are commander, adjutant and quartermaster, respectively, of Kosciusko Barracks 83.


75 Years Ago

November 23 1929

    "On the Banks of the Tippecanoe," a composition of words and music by Mrs. Zella Williams and Fred Brewer, both native Warsawans now living in Chicago, was rendered on the pipe organ Thursday by Larry Larson, organist at the WGN broadcast station at Chicago at 9:30 a.m. to the pleasure of many Warsawans. The music was sent in recently by Mrs. Maude Irvine, of Warsaw, as a contribution to the Indiana music morning at the WGN station.
