Five Warsaw middle school band students have been selected to participate in the Indiana Bandmasters Association All-Region Honor Band at Wawasee Middle School. The students are chosen from middle schools across northeast Indiana. Ben Essick, Mary Kretsch and Brent Mock attend Edgewood Middle School, and Lakeview will be represented by Kelly Holbrook and Susan Robinson.
Warsawans Wallace Miller and Dr. Virgil McCleary were recently presented Warsaw Kiwanis Club service pins - Miller for 34 years and "Doc" for 40 years.
Ivo Stutzman, of Warsaw, was elected district chairman of the Kosciusko district Boy Scouts at the annual meeting in the Methodist Church.
Eighty-seven men gathered at the home of Pressie Drudge, who resides 1/2 mile west of Claypool, and husked and cribbed his 30 acres of corn. The last 10 acres were husked in 40 minutes. Mr. Drudge is confined to his bed suffering from typhoid fever.
