Warsaw Wesleyan Church recently received an award for "Highest Numerical Growth" and another for "Sunday School of the Year" from the Indiana North District of the Wesleyan denomination.
Bertha E. Bartol, of 410 S. High St., Warsaw, was honored for 50 years of service to the Warsaw Building Loan & Savings Association, at the recent 60th anniversary banquet held at the Holiday Inn. Bartol was presented a bronze plaque by Lester Johnson, president of the organization.
The latest thing for fishermen is a gadget which should be popular with lazy anglers. It's a buzzer, like the ones commonly used in offices. When the fish bites and jerks the line, the contact is closed and the buzzer sounds off. With one of these units on his pole, a discouraged fisherman can snooze or play bridge until the "alarm" sounds.
Charles F. Klinger, who lives six miles northwest of Warsaw, on the farm formerly owned by William Banks of Warsaw, and owns a fine herd of Guernsey cattle, received for one week's cream a check for $37.96, from the Farm Bureau Produce Station. This gives Mrs. Klinger the distinction of being the largest cream producer of the Farm Bureau patrons, of which there are nearly 600.
