Erin Snabes, 4, was among 25 children who with their parents enjoyed the third annual "Pilgrim Thanksgiving" sponsored by North Webster/Tippecanoe Township Library. The children, who attended preschool story hours at the library, participated in a Pilgrim feast, Pilgrim games and re-enacting the Pilgrim story.
A Kosciusko County veterinarian was recently named the recipient of a top award given by the Indiana State Poultry Association Inc. each year. Dr. Joe Ostendorf Jr., of Milford, received the Indiana Golden Egg Award from Douglas Hoffer, an employee of Creighton Brothers, Warsaw.
Vivian Allen and Mrs. Robert Baker were initiated into the Order of the Women of the Moose at the meeting held at the Moose home.
Sally Eschbach and Clifford Chapman were awarded prizes for offering the best posters in the contest at the Warsaw Public Library. The poster contest was an event of children's book week from Nov. 12-17. Honorable mention was given to Barbara Dickey, Ellen Risley, Roger Sanders and Glen Reyome.
