    Master Sgt. Christopher Glenn, son of Arthur Glenn, Depew, N.Y., and Janette Hagin, Warsaw, has been decorated with the Air Force Commendation Medal while at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal.

The medal is awarded to those individuals who demonstrate outstanding achievement or meritorious service in the performance of their duties on behalf of the Air Force.

    It's not often a man can bowl a 700 series and a pair of women two 600 series, but it happened all in one week at Holiday Lanes recently. Robin Wood and Barb Drudge both bowled a 625 and George Rider a 707.

    William Ulmer, residing southeast of Winona Lake, chief chemist for the Joyner corporation, has received a U.S. product patent concerning the designing of plastic sheeting by controlled vibrational wave lengths. The present patent follows a process patent issued to Ulmer about a year ago. He says several large manufacturing concerns have shown an interest in his improved process.

    Ruth Hatfield, Atwood, student of Oscar M. Baker, at the Warsaw Conservatory of Music, has recently been awarded a gold pin for recognition of the highest grade in examinations recently given by the Sherwood School of Music in Chicago.
