    Jason Shepherd of Claypool was named Champion Commercial Ewe Showman and Overall Breeding Stock Showman in the state at this year's Indiana State Fair. Jason is a member of the Kosciusko County Lamb Club and the Claypool Classics 4-H. He is the son of Phyllis J. Shepherd and the late Palmer Shepherd.

November 20 1981

    Cindy Tucker, the 18-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Tucker, Warsaw, has been presented with a state 4-H award and will attend the 60th National 4-H Congress in Chicago.

She earned state honors in the clothing program.

50 Years Ago

November 20 1956

    The election board at Akron reported one of the oddities of the election. On the ballot on fast or slow time someone had written: "I wish to H____ we could all have the same time." The writer didn't bother to vote after that explosive statement.


75 Years Ago

November 20 1931

    America's first limited train became 50 years old today (Nov. 19).

It is the Pennsylvania Limited, a train which passes through Warsaw, and which has been clicking daily over the rails in both directions between Chicago and New York City since Nov. 19, 1881.
