    Warsaw businessman Jon Shively was recognized by Warsaw Main Street organization for renovations to his downtown office.

Shively was lauded by the WCDC for facade renovations to his building at 113 S. Buffalo St. The office is now home to Center Title Inc.

    Todd Martin, graduate of Warsaw Community High School and Indiana University, has enrolled at Spartan School of Aeronautics, Tulsa, Okla.

Martin is training as an Aviation Maintenance Technician. The course provides concentrated training in theory and practical application for technical repair of all types of aircraft.

    Jesse Deloe Jr., Winona Lake, made the honor role at Bryan University, Dayton, Tenn., for the first quarter of the school year. He ranked sixth in a class of 109. Jesse is planning on a missionary career and is majoring in French.

November 19 1927

    A manuscript contract made in 1830, an agreement made between three hardy pioneers of Pierceton as they entered a partnership and started for the gold rush westward to California over the overland route, was shown in The Times office by William F. O'Brien, who resides on a farm north of Pierceton. The interesting paper was given him by his grandfather, William M. O'Brien. Other Pierceton men in the gold rush contract were James D. Klinger and Winfred L. Barber, along with William M. O'Brien.
