    Kosciusko County's DHIA awards were presented at the annual banquet Monday evening at the Shrine Building in Warsaw.

Dan and Debbie Beer received the award for the highest herd average for milk and fat with 23,439 pounds of milk and 872 pounds of fat on a three- times-a-day milking schedule. Steve and Connie Beer won the high herd award for two-times-a-day milking with 22,465 pounds of milk and 795 pounds of fat. Fred and Pat Beer's 16-year-old cow "Copper" is the high lifetime cow for producing 304,665 pounds of milk and 10,959 pounds of fat. Rex Mort and Sons own the high lifetime cow for fat, "Bonnie," who has produced 11,265 pounds of fat and 292, 008 pounds of milk. This cow is 17 years old.

    Rev. Arnold Kreigbaum, dean of students, Grace College, and vice president of the Winona Lake Christian Assembly, will be the speaker at a Bible Conference to be held in the Millwood Chapel Christian Church northeast of Etna Green Nov. 11-18. His topic will be "The Seven Churches of Revelations" to be illustrated by slides and films taken on a trip to the area of Turkey where these churches were located.

November 19 1948

    Five feet, 7 inches of basketball dynamite best describes little Joe Unrue, Warsaw High School's acting captain, who played a major part in Warsaw's thrilling 34-to-31 triumph over the Goshen Redskins last night. Unrue, a senior and only returning regular from last year's team, played the entire 32 minutes without a substitute, as he did against Plymouth last week.

    The vocational agricultural pupils of the Warsaw High School who were members of the potato club this year, exhibited potatoes from their quarter acre plots in Rutter's window.

The first prize for $5 in the Stauffer class was won by Edward Cox. In the B. & O. class, Dale Sutherlin won first.
