Several Warsaw Middle School students have been selected to play in the Indiana Band Master Association all-region band. The band will give a concert Sunday at Manchester High School. Students are Andrea King, Amy Becker, Roger Fitzpatrick, Chris Cole, Michele Slone, Lydia Lemasters, Mandy Armey and J.J. Koors.
Warsaw Community High School basketball players Steve Reed and Chanda Kline have received the first of what will probably be an avalanche of state-wide honors this year - selection to the All-State team of the Billy Keller published "Hoosier Basketball" magazine.
Doris Harden, Silver Lake, has been made a "jumpmaster" at Marine Studios, Marineland, Fla., near St. Augustine, for taking part in one of the feeding programs while visiting the world's only oceanarium there. Doris earned the title for coaxing the large porpoises to leap the entire length of their bodies out of the water and take their food from her hand.
Cyrus Densel will go to Indianapolis on Tuesday to represent the Warsaw Odd Fellows as grand deputy.
