    Two area police officers will be participating in graduation ceremonies at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Friday at 1 p.m.

Sheriff's deputy Chad Hill and Winona Lake officer Brian Hupp have completed the 12-week training at the academy that is required for all police officers.

November 17 1975

    Three hundred and sixty one flags were flying in Warsaw on Veterans Day. The American Legion counted flags on that day as a part of putting into practice their slogan for the year, "Fly Your Flag and Be Counted."

November 17 1950

    Roy E. Duncan, general manager of the Blue Bell Co. at Columbia City, has announced that plans are being completed for a new factory building at North Webster. The proposed building will be 74 by 110 feet, and will contain 8,000 square feet of floor space. He adds that the North Webster plant will be large enough to employ 125 persons.

    Employees of the Interstate Public Service Co. here were giving the ornamental street light bowls their fall baths. Soot and dirt had covered the globes. Four times each year the electric light company washes the bowls.
