Six area youths will be receiving their Eagle Scout honor today. They are Brandon Wilhite, Chad Study, Mike Hodges, Keith McGuire and David Walters of Troop No. 715 and Joe McGrath, Troop No. 819.
Neil W. Bennett, receiving manager at the Warsaw Sears store, has been named Citizen of the Year by a panel of fellow workers. The award was presented on Nov. 8 by Mayor H. Dale Tucker to honor Bennett for contributions to the community.
Mary B. Brown, Warsaw librarian, and Leah J. Power, children's librarian, went to Indianapolis to attend the annual joint conference of Indiana librarians and library trustees. The two-day session begins Thursday morning at the Lincoln Hotel.
With only five weeks until Christmas, robin redbreasts are singing in Warsaw, on account of the "summer weather" which struck northern Indiana Sunday.
