    Madison Elementary PTO recently announced the winners of contests held at the school. Steve Monesmith, won a $100 savings bond for his effort in the school's candy sale; Sha-Na Thomas, was first-place winner in the Design-A-Madison logo contest; and Nicholas Perkins, top seller in the candy sale, received a bicycle from Tarkio Road and a 5-pound chocolate bar for selling $756 worth of candy.

    Miechi Miniear, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Gary Miniear, Rt. 2, Leesburg, is the Times-Union November Calendar Girl. She will be 13 on Nov. 13. She is in the seventh grade at Warsaw Middle School, where she is a cheerleader.

    Twelve of the 150 seniors attending Manchester College here will be listed in the 1952 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges," Dr. Howard Book, chairman of the recognitions committee revealed.

One of the five students chosen from Indiana is Mary Alice Bagwell, North Manchester.

    Clara Eve King, Mentone, has been awarded a certificate of proficiency by the Sherwood Music School of Chicago. This is a reward for excellent work done during the first four quarters of their standard course just finished in the local branch under the direction of Oscar M. Baker.
