    CONVERSE - Stephanie Ellis stood out among the 20 divers Tuesday, and it wasn't just because of her multi-colored swim suit.

Ellis went into the first-ever IHSAA diving regional at Oak Hill High School and dominated the competition by more than 30 points.

    Donald Dubbs, of 923 E. Main St., recently retired from his office as adjutant at John C. Peterson Post 49, American Legion, after serving in this capacity for more years than some of you are old.

    Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Miller, of 729 N. Lake St., were guests of honor at a party celebrating their Golden Wedding anniversary, given by Knights Templar and the Social Order of the Beauceant of this city.

Mr. and Mrs. Miller were married in Warsaw Nov. 6, 1905, and they have lived here for the past 42 years.

    The north side of Winona Lake will be thrown open to purchasers of summer resort lots and soon it is expected that part of the lake shore uninhabited and used for farm land may present a site lined with beautiful summer cottages.

Chris Beyer, owner of several hundred acres extending from the old canal on the banks of Little Eagle part of Winona Lake around the north shore line to near the Charles Boyer bay, has employed Donald Lessig to survey and plat the shore lots.
