    Onita Johnson, chairperson of the Department of Health and Physical Education at Manchester College, is the recipient of the 1987 leadership recognition award presented by the Indiana Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (IAHPERD).

    Janice Gottschalk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Gottschalk, Bourbon, was selected 1973 Triton Junior Miss at the 10th annual pageant held at the high school. She will compete in the Indiana Junior Miss Contest to be held in Frankfort.

    Warsaw's newest downtown enterprise, the John Snell women's apparel shop, opened last Friday and Saturday on East Market Street, in the Chinworth building, east of the Robinson Market. A free prize of $25 in merchandise will be awarded to one of the 1,005 persons who attended the grand opening.

    Warsaw school officials received word that 800 football tickets for the Warsaw-Gary game had been sold already at Gary and a special Pennsy train chartered to bring the crowd here next Saturday.

Their 40-piece band will give a street concert in Warsaw from 11:30 to 12:30.
