Neal Lang, North Webster, caught a 25-pound, 4-ounce, Northern Pike in Bear Paw Lake in northwest Ontario. Lang said the pike was caught on a 7-inch Rapala and took about 15 minutes to land.
Warsaw High School juniors LaDora Yant and Sue Tiorac spoke recently to Jefferson School, Warsaw, 5th and 6th grade science classes about how to catch and keep dragonflies, butterflies, moths, beetles and other bugs. The girls spent last summer studying the insect world as part of a special summer outdoor biology course.
