    The Indiana Regional Office of Church World Service/CROP announced creation of a permanent "Pioneer Hall of Fame." The 20 individuals or couples who were named for this honor will be publicly recognized during the regional 40th anniversary celebration in Wabash.

Don Frantz, a resident of Warsaw and a long-time CROP volunteer, is one of those selected for this honor.

    While helping her dad rake leaves this week Rajeane Kindle, 7, found a mushroom. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kindle, 740 E. Main St.

Nov. 18 1947

    Warsaw and Kosciusko county residents packed the armory Sunday afternoon for the first county choral festival, featuring a massed chorus of 500 students from all schools of the county, including Warsaw. It was estimated that there were at least 1,000 persons in the audience.

Nov. 18 1922

    Seventy seats have already been placed in the high school room of the new school building at Claypool and the high school pupils are expecting to move into the new room Thursday morning. The first basketball game is scheduled to be played in the new gymnasium Thanksgiving evening.
