    Children from all over Indiana will be competing in the State Invention Convention at Indianapolis.

The representative for Warsaw Community Schools is Laura Anderson, a third-grader from Silver Lake Elementary School. Laura's winning invention at the local competition was an automatically timed Fish Feeder.

    Greg Kralis, Warsaw, recently attended the 21st Junior Poultry and Egg Fact Finding Conference in New Orleans representing Indiana. The conference is held annually in conjunction with the adult sessions to demonstrate to young people the many opportunities for employment, rewarding careers and interesting experiences in the poultry industry.

    There will be a transit of Mercury over the sun's disk Wednesday afternoon to be visible here beginning about 4 o'clock p.m. and lasting till sundown. Every school boy and girl should make observations. Look through a smoked glass so as not to injure the eyes.
