    Warsaw general dentists Drs. Russell L. Heyde and Steven C. Hollar are serving as alternate delegates, representing the North Central Dental Society, during the Indiana Dental Association's 137th Annual Session this weekend at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome in Indianapolis.

    The Golddiggers were regular season and playoff champions in the women's volleyball league at the Kosciusko Community YMCA this season, losing only once in 18 matches. Team members are Ronda Turpen, Peg Carpenter, Cindy Ashman, Barb Prater, Angie Mock, Sue Roberts, Mimi Geringer, Judy Hamm, Val Weinstein and Joyce Eyerly.

May 5 1955

    Mrs. Albert Trestrail, Leesburg, is getting to be quite an accomplished writer. Mrs. Trestrail is to have an article published in the nationally syndicated "This Week" Sunday newspaper magazine section on May 8. Other stories of hers have appeared in "Farm Journal" and "Family Circle."

Trestrail's article, titled "Look Here, Mr. Dali" came about when she read an article by Salvadore Dali, his choice of the "World's Most Beautiful Women." She didn't agree with his list, so she wrote an article on the subject.

May 5 1930

    NORTH MANCHESTER - More than 1,500 persons attended the May Day festivities and crowning of the May queen at Manchester College Friday and the weather man sent typical spring weather for the entire day's activities.

The main event of the day was the parade and crowning of Ruby Stoner as queen, which she will hold for one year.
