    Team No. 13, consisting of Rolland Crowel, Don Phillips, Bob Ford and Rex Reid placed first in the Opening Day A-B-C-D Two Best Ball Tournament at Rozella Ford Golf Club.

    Among those winning awards in the third annual Grace College juried student art show were Dan Smith, Jefferson, Ohio, best in drawing; Gary Nieter, South Bend, printmaking; Mike Boze, Berne, best of exhibit, painting; Carolyn Battis, Warsaw, best in sculpture; Bob Vandermark, Syracuse, best in ceramics.

    Two records were broken as Silver Lake's High School Ramblers captured the sixth annual Kosciusko County track and field meet at the Warsaw athletic field. Silver Lake scored 61-1/2 points to finish far ahead of Pierceton, which was second with 46, and Etna Green, which was third with 30-1/2.

There were two new records. Ralph Montel, Silver Lake, ran the 880 yard distance in 2:08 for one mark, and Donnie Butt, Beaver Dam, and Pat Klinefelter, Etna Green, tied for first in the pole vault with a record leap of 11 feet 1-1/4 inches.

    Robert C. Frye, Route 2, Silver Lake, has been accepted for the Citizens' Military Training Camp, according to word received from headquarters at Fort Hayes, Columbus, Ohio.

The camps this year in the Fifth Corps area are Fort Harrison, Indiana, and Camp Knox, Kentucky.
