    Warsaw Community High School music students left for a four-day tour of Canada and Niagara Falls.

The Warsaw band, choir and Tigerettes will participate in the"Festivals of Music" in Toronto. The highlight of the tour will be a visit to the "Phantom of the Opera" production.

    The Post 49 American Legion bowling team put together some fine performances at the second district American Legion bowling tournament in Monticello a few weeks back by outlasting 40 other teams for the championship trophies. Team members are Skip Mumford, Joe Watkins, Russ Potts, Robert Heagy and Ernie Mumford.

    Safe driving awards were presented to two local Railway Express drivers. The awards were made by Robert G. Craig, local agent, to Neil W. Bennett and K.E. Foreman. Bennett's award was for three years of driving without a single accident, and Foreman's award was for five years of the same accomplishment.

May 31 1926

    Two 5 cent "local postage stamps" of New York City, issued in 1845, netted "Jack" Foster, son of Earl S. Foster, 724 E. Fort Wayne St., $150, according to Jack, who is one of Warsaw's juvenile stamp collectors.

Young Foster secured the stamps from some old correspondence of an acquaintance which were found in an old hair cloth trunk in a garret.
