    Airman Gary Lamar has graduated from the U.S. Air Force law enforcement specialist course at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

Graduates of the course studied general law enforcement duties, tactics, weapons training, physical apprehension and restraint and earned credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force. Lamar is the son of Ed and Lois Lamar, Mentone.

    Another production record exceeding a half-ton of butterfat has been completed by C Honeyvale Topsy Reflection 7306201 (VG), a registered Holstein cow owned by R. Dale Jones and Jack Nelson, Claypool.

This is the fourth time that "Topsy" has achieved the 1,000-pound butterfat production level in a single lactation.

    Marion Coplen, history and civics teacher at the Warsaw High School, was chosen to lead the Warsaw Classroom Teachers Association during the coming year. Other officers of the organization are: Esther Pfleiderer, vice president; Betty Murtaugh, secretary; and Mary Kathryn Shoup, treasurer.

    May 26 marks the 43rd anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone of the court house - a gala day in Warsaw that will be recalled by old-timers as one of the "biggest" in the history of the Polish capital's namesake.
