The guidance office of Triton High School has announced the valedictorian and salutatorian for the class of 1994.
Tina Watkins, daughter of Tom and Jane Watkins, Bourbon, is valedictorian. Christina Beachy is the salutatorian and is the daughter of Neal and Joann Beachy, Etna Green.

Dr. Tom Miller has scored the first hole-in-one at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club this golfing season.
Playing with Dan Speicher, Dan Weible and Bob Clark Thursday afternoon, he popped a four-iron into the cup from the tee of the 186-yard third hole.

Feature awards were made to Bob Boggs, John Cullum, Jerry Tinkey and Phil Carney at an athletic banquet honoring Mentone High School boys at the Mentone school cafeteria.
Boggs received the trophy as the team's most valuable basketball player, Cullum won the sportsmanship trophy and the free throw trophy for having made the best percentage of foul shots during the cage season. Tinkey received trophies for his four years of participation in varsity track and for being high point man of the 1954 track team. Carney's trophy was for his four years of participation in varsity softball and baseball.

A beautiful carrier pigeon came to the home of Mrs. Nathan Baker at Winona Lake Wednesday afternoon. The pigeon seemed tired and worn out. Clasped around its leg, with "AAA 1106 AU 28" inscribed on it, was a silver band. Baker took it in, fed it and gave it a bed for the night.
