Part-time funny man and full-time teacher Joe Conlon was a little shocked to learn of a secret passenger when he took his car to Monteith Tire And Service, Warsaw, for an alignment. After hearing a clicking noise, Conion asked a mechanic, Steve Wood, to check under the engine. Wood was quite startled to find a young raccoon lodged in the engine compartment, and immediately slammed the hood. The animal was eventually prodded out by workers and was last seen running toward Rolling Hills subdivision.
Blaine Metzger and Shelia Kincade were crowned King and Queen of the Warsaw High School Junior-Senior Prom for 1974 at the school auditorium. Blaine is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Metzger, Rt. 2, Claypool, and Shelia is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kincade, Rt. 4, Warsaw.
Grace Babcock, Winona Lake, daughter of Mrs. Mary Babcock; and Grace Swanson, Atwood, members of the freshmen class at Manchester College, assisted with the Style Review held Tuesday evening at the college chapel by the Home Economics department of the college.
Tom Loveday, who each year has a larger number and greater variety of flowers in his garden than perhaps anyone else in Warsaw, sends to the editor of The Times an unusually fine bouquet of lilies of the valley, which could not be surpassed, much less equalled, in beauty.
