    Two students have put together something they are hoping could end up in the Guinness Book of World Records. Tony LaRue and Gracia McDairmant, both students at Jefferson Elementary School, completed a 135-foot dandelion chain Tuesday.

    Etna Green citizens will see the beginning of construction of a new community center soon, it was unanimously agreed during a town meeting.

The building will be situated where the old town building now stands, along State Road 19 in Etna Green. The old structure will be demolished.

    Earl Yeiter, of McElroy Hill, Warsaw, has been initiated into Beta Alpha Chi, professional newspaper management fraternity at Indiana University. Yeiter is a junior student at Indiana University.

May 28 1924

    Last winter on Jan. 22, The Times printed the prediction of a North Manchester man, "January fogs bring May frost." The prediction caused much merriment among scoffers and skeptics.

Now the Manchester weather man sends the following to The Times: "Please note that my prediction last January about frosts in May have been borne out. I predict another light frost for May 29. Watch for it. January fog dates always correspond exactly with May frost dates."
