Michelle Gunsolley and Jeffrey Mathisen were named co-valedictorians of Lakeland Christian Academy's 1988 graduating class.
Miss Londa Ellenwood, Whitko High School junior, Route 3, Warsaw, has returned from a mission tour to Haiti as a member of the Marion District United Methodist tour group.
"Strolling Peggy," new horse owned by Stanley Arnolt, of Warsaw, won first place in the mare class and won the stake at the Tennessee Walking Horse show held in Indianapolis.
The Leesburg school holds an unusual record this year in that every one of the eighth grade students successfully passed the examinations for promotion to high school. There are 12 pupils in the class.
