The king and queen of the Warsaw Community High School prom are Douglas Stamper and Andrea Halpin. Douglas is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Stamper, and Andrea is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lou Halpin.
Mr. and Mrs. John Klondaris, 311 E. Market St., Warsaw, will greet their friends at a reception in celebration of the 50th anniversary of their marriage on May 27. They have three sons and a daughter: Terry, James and Peter Klondaris, and Mrs. Costas (Georgia) Lambros; all reside in Warsaw.
Ronald Paul "Ronnie" Dunwell, Warsaw High School athlete, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dunwell, 422 N. Lake St., is one of the 631 civilian candidates selected for entry as a regular student into the naval reserve officers' training corps in the 1948 fall college term.
While hunting in a woods, a dog owned by George Clemency killed a mother skunk. Clemency happened to notice a nest containing five young pole kittens, evidently the offspring of the skunk killed by his dog. Mr. Clemency took them to his house and placed them in a box with an old cat. Since then she has been mothering them.
