MENTONE - Robert W. Schultz, principal of Tippecanoe Valley High School, has announced the valedictorian and salutatorian of the school's 1991 graduating class.
Debra Swick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell E. Swick, Rt. 2, Pierceton, was named Arion Foundation Award winner at the annual Whitko School band concert recently. She has been active in band for seven years, participating in marching and summer band, pep band and concert band.
Mrs. Howard M. Scott, of Winona Lake, will again serve as president of the Warsaw-Winona Lake Federation of Clubs.
The members of the Warsaw High School debating team enjoyed a wienie roast and picnic at Yarnelle Point. A pleasant social time was enjoyed around a fire over which the weinies were roasted. Following a bounteous supper the group attended the Strand Theatre. Those who were present were: Franklin Cole, Eugenia Coleman, Margaret Towns, Leah Smith, Margaret Brubaker, Horace Bean, Priscilla Matthews, Marion Pierce, Charles Ward and Wallace Bowman. They were chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart.
