Triton High School senior Andy Alderfer recently announced his decision to continue his football career at Joliet Junior College in Joliet, Ill. Alderfer, the son of Terry and Jackie Alderfer, Bourbon, was a four-year letterman for the Trojans.
Lois Claassen of Claassen Enterprise recently attended a national convention of the Success Motivation Institute. Lois represents Success Motivation Institute in this area. The theme of the meeting was "A Gathering of Eagles."
Awards in the Fashion Shoe Store's "bicycle contest" were announced by Bill Wagner, store manager, with first prize going to Jeannine Witham, Atwood.
George McClellan Jr. and Ray Wright on yesterday at Pike Lake, secured a whale of a dogfish. The fish weighed 14 pounds, the largest of its species seen here in years perhaps. The fish, a female full of eggs, was speared with a barbless fork, an implement the use of which is permitted in the taking of this and other objectionable species of the finny tribe.
