    Robert Ladson Jr., son of Dale and Lois Ladson, Route 2, Rochester, was recently named valedictorian, and Kimberly Keirn, daughter of Sam and Sue Bushong, Route 5, Warsaw, was named salutatorian of the Tippecanoe Valley High School 1988 graduating class.

    Randy Noble, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Noble, 931 Country Club Road, Warsaw, recently attained a position on the Gold Yacht Racing Team of the Treasure Island Sailing Club. This qualifies him for a berth aboard one of the top contenders in the Golden Gate Bay area.

    Milford livestock and dairy judging team won the right to participate in state competition at the Purdue 4-H club round-up in June by placing in the upper 40 percent in district contests at Claypool. The Milford livestock team, composed of Philip Beer, James Stieglitz and Arthur Gilbert, tied with a Whitley County team for fifth place.

    Plans were completed today for the installation of a huge radio sending station here to be used in broadcasting a description of the fight on July 4 between Jack Dempsey and Tommy Gibbons. The station will be used for a week before the fight when Dempsey and Gibbons will tell what they are doing, how they are feeling and talks will also be given by their managers and the promoters.
