    Jan Kuntz was recently honored by United Parcel Service for completing 20 years of service with the company.

Kuntz, who is a delivery driver with UPS in Bourbon, was cited for his loyal service contributions to the company. He began his career as a delivery driver in 1974. His delivery areas include rural Leesburg and Pierceton.

    The second life membership ever granted by the Warsaw Kiwanis Club was awarded to Robert Hinshaw. Dr. V.A. McCleary is the only other lifetime member. Hinshaw has been secretary of the Warsaw club for the past eight years, and was past president of the Elwood Club and a past lieutenant governor.

    Leo Peterson, well-known resident of Winona Lake, retired officially Friday after 50 years as a linotype operator for the Free Methodist Publishing House, the longest term of service rendered by any layman in the church.

Peterson started with the publishing house in Chicago and came to Winona Lake in 1934.

May 21 1929

    Encel H. Drudge Jr. entertained a few of his boy friends at a party, the occasion being his eighth birthday anniversary. Various games were played with Norman Kelly, Berwyn Blue and Richard Hudson winning the prizes. Other guests were Ben Determan, Jimmie Stoner, Junior and Jean Eby and Paul Drudge.
