    The foursome of Tuffy Rathbun, Ed Neville, Lou Sweeney and Ivo Stutzman won the senior blind draw two best balls tournament, held at Rozella Ford Golf Club.

The quartet shot a 133 to edge the group of Ray Hartman, Duane Clements, Bud Reed and Wallace Huffman, which shot 134.

    The newly crowned King and Queen of Warsaw Freshman High are Kathy Garrard, daughter of Indiana Court of Appeals Judge and Mrs. William Garrard, Warsaw, and Scott Huffer, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Huffer, Warsaw. The runner-up king was Laci Bardos, son of Mr. and Mrs. Denes Bardos, Warsaw, and the runner-up queen was Lesa Brubaker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Brubaker, Claypool.

    Wilma Howard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Howard, East Center Street, and Carolyn Bowen Chappel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bowen, Claypool, students at Purdue University, Lafayette, have received recognition for high scholastic standing. They are juniors in the school of home economics at the university.

    The Warsaw Reading Club met at the home of Mrs. Ezra Graham, with Ida Moon assisting. Officers for the coming year were elected: president, Mrs. Jesse Eschbach; vice president, Shirley Miller; secretary, Mrs. Jack Shoup; assistant secretary, Mrs. Russell Phillips; and treasurer, Wilma Hamsher.
