Ever try to get an autograph of a famous comedian, such as George Gobel? Ask two local our towners, women, of course, how bone-crushing this ordeal can be. George was in Chicago for his premier of "The Birds And the Bees." The shorter of the two forgot Amy Vanderbilt's suggestions on how to be a lady, and used the old elbow-gouging technique and also ducked under a few hundred arms. She got through only to see the newsmen whisk Gobel away to a luncheon. No autograph for her. "Just three or four specs of dandruff from Gobel's shoulders," she said. This she carried around in her tote bag the rest of the day.
