    Warsaw's Biomet will be gaining some additional national exposure the next few weeks with its name appearing on a race car.

An associate sponsorship has been arranged for Biomet on the IndyCar to be driven by Lyn St. James, the only female attempting to qualify for the Indianapolis 500.

    MUNCIE - A Warsaw junior at Ball State University is among the 73 outstanding students initiated into Gamma Theta chapter of Kappa Kelta Pi during Teachers College Alumni Day May 4.

The junior, Christie Eherenman, is preparing to become a secondary education English teacher.

    Esther Grace Burke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carrie Burke, Claypool, and Ronald Lee Ulrey, nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Glen B. Warner, of North Manchester, are valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, of the graduate class at Sidney High School.

May 20 1930

    Edith Quine, residing northeast of Warsaw, has in her possession almanacs for the years 1828, 1835, 1840, 1848 and 1852. These almanacs were among the effects left Quine by her mother, Mrs. Rena Goble, deceased. Originally the almanacs belonged to Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Reed, great-great-grandparents of Quine and are quite interesting.
