    Zimmer recently awarded two employees for their many years of service. Keith Wagner, planner/scheduler, received an award for 35 years of service, and Terry Julian, supervisor tool fabrication, was awarded for 25 years of service.

    Honor students of the 1977 graduating class of Whitko High School have been announced by Principal Richard V. Reed.

Dennis Macklin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Macklin, Rt. 1, South Whitley, has been named valedictorian, and Kristina Risher, daughter, of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Rusher, Rt. 2, Pierceton, has been named salutatorian.

May 2 1952

    Vija Abele, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Abele, who was in a concentration camp near Stutgartt, Germany, a little less than four years ago, won third place in the state Latin contest. The Abele family, who reside in North Manchester, came to their new home in 1948 under the sponsorship of the Manchester Church of the Brethren. Vija, a sophomore at Central High School, competed with 1,000 contestants in the Latin contest.
