    Don Clemens, Indiana Lakes Area Youth for Christ board president, presented an award for 18 years of service to Larry McCleary at the YFC Spring Banquet. McCleary, who will be taking a sabbatical, has been working with youths through the Youth Guidance arms of YFC through weekly club meetings, special trips and one-on-one discipleship activities since 1975.

May 19 1978

    Bob Walls, of 611 W. Winona Ave., Warsaw, was congratulated by Master Instructor Young Park of the Dharma School of Tae Kwon Do after Walls won third place in forms competition at the Mt. Clemens, Mich. Open Karate and Tae Kwon Do Championships. Walls, a green belt, has been a student at the Dharma School for nine months.

May 19 1953

    Warsaw School officials gave Sam Joyner, a senior, three awards at the annual Lions-Rotary-Kiwanis athletics banquet for Tiger lettermen, held at the Masonic Temple.

Joyner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Joyner, received the Fisher award for outstanding excellence in football and also carried home the gold basketball and golf football.

    Charles Butler Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Butler, North Lake Street, will be heard over WSB, Atlanta, Ga., tonight directing the military band of Riverside Military Academy, Gainsville, Ga., and playing solo saxophone numbers.
