Liberty Reichert has left his mark at Triton with a second wall painting in the industrial tech department. Copying an original sketch by a former Triton teacher, David Nolte, Reichert painted a picture of a carpenter and his tools in the wood shop. Reichert decorated the metal shop with a picture of a car last semester.
Commemorating their years of service in the Salome Rebekah Lodge, two members were recently honored. Mrs. Treva Pyle was presented with a plaque recognizing her 50-year membership and Mrs. Ora Franks was also presented with a plaque for her 60-year membership.
Dorothy Jean Hawley, Elaine Craig, Phyllis Cook and Mary Roahrig, members of the Bourbon chapter of the Future Homemakers of America, placed second in the talent contest at the district spring FHA convention held recently at Monticello. They will go as alternates in the contest to be held at the state FHA convention in June at Purdue University.
Today (May 15) is the "official start" of the straw hat for the season in this latitude. At least two men on the streets of Warsaw today got away with a running start. They wore straws.
