    Three-year-old Andy Clase, son of Anderson attorney Stephen and Suzanne Clase and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Milo Clase, Warsaw, was one of the first preschoolers to successfully complete the Anderson YMCA's tadpole swimming program. His grandparents are justifiably proud of their little swimmer.


50 Years Ago
May 13 1948

    Good news was forthcoming for Atwood High School students when Trustee Merl J. Wolf called a meeting of Prairie Township residents for discussion of a proposed new gymnasium. The good news came when the 87 residents attending the meeting all voted in favor of a new gymnasium.

May 13 1923

    After working several weeks in Warsaw and finally reaching the conclusion that he was not making money fast enough, Ray Horner returned to his former home in Bluffton, went to the county jail, and, finding the sheriff out, locked himself in a cell to begin a sentence imposed on him. Horner had the alternative of paying $400 or serving a sentence.
