Cory Patrick placed second in the Cadet 143 class; Joe Wood placed third in the Junior 191 and Jesse Harter was fourth in the Junior 178 at the recent Greco State Wrestling Championships.
Laura Landis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keaton Landis, Warsaw, will be valedictorian for the 1981 senior class at Warsaw Community High School.
Terry Abell, an Etna Green High School sophomore, won a silver medal in the state high school geometry contest at Indiana University, Bloomington. Terry is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Abell and his teacher at Etna Green is Louisa Davis. Last year Terry received a bronze medal in Algebra at the state contests.
Lawrence Philpott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Philpott, who is attending Indiana University, has been elected president of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. This was rather an unusual honor as Philpott is only a sophomore at the university and the office is usually bestowed on a senior.
