More and more gifts from Warsaw Cut Glass are ending up in the possession of world leaders.
First it was a gift for Ronald Reagan. Then it was a gift for Lech Walesa, the Solidarity leader who is now in power in Warsaw, Poland. And now, a gift for Vice President Dan Quayle. Representatives of Mad Anthony's, which organizes the annual Ben Hogan Fort Wayne Open golf tournament, commissioned the gift, said store owner and glass cutter artist Randy Kirkendall. Mad Anthony's named Quayle to accept the Red Coat and serve as the Hoosier Celebrity of the Year.

One of OUR TOWN'S home-grown industries has been honored by having its latest product displayed by Arthur Godfrey on his television program. The industry is Peedees Inc., operated in east Warsaw by P.D. Parks, Winona Lake, and the product is a chrome wall-tree for the hanging of hats and coats.
75 Years Ago May 12 1925
Clerk Russell Butler issued Mrs. Grayce Pape a permit to carry a revolver, a Colt's automatic, .25 calibre. She is the first woman in Kosciusko County to be granted a permit under the new 1925 statue.
After being twice held up on the road between Warsaw and Fort Wayne and later driving away a would-be holdup man, she decided to go armed. She carries the gun strapped to the steering wheel of her automobile.
